2010-09-01, 11:17pm Annewien DeinumWe’re meeting tomorrow to prepare 20 kg of potatoes and 10 kg of carrots: they’ll all be peeled by us by hand (whew!) and 10 kg of meat will be deliciously seasoned.
But I’m nervous!
Will we manage to get the meal ready on Friday at 12.00?

At the same time we’re excited! I’m sure doing something this unusual will be a great learning experience.
Your compliments and donations are fabulous! Thank you and keep them flowing! Traffic on our site is soaring!

As part of KPMG’s 100 year anniversary, the Dutch Lunch Club – an informal network of KPMG colleagues with Dutch roots - will cook for a group of seventy homeless people in Zurich. On the menu some traditional Dutch dishes.
We would very much welcome your support for this initiative by ‘going dutch’ on Friday 3 September. When you are invited to a `dutch treat‘ this means you will pay for your lunch yourself – and this is exactly what we would like to ask from you when filling out your timesheets this friday; transfer the meal allowance of CHF 9 to our initiative on the GrowthGenerator and help raise money for another good cause, KPMG’s inspiration grant.
And, when you do so, think of the Dutchies that have been cooking that day in a hot kitchen and invited the homeless people in Zurich to a Dutch lunch, who this time – of course – are not ‘going Dutch.’
We would like to thank all generous supporters like Jörg Walker for their contribution to make this day a success and hope many of you will follow his example.
Thanks for your support!

4.5 kg Endivie
4 l UHT Milch
18 kg Kartoffeln, mehlig kochend
2 kg Butter
9 Kilo möglichst grosse Karotten (eigentlich Wintermöhren, aber die gibt’s hier nicht)
2.1 Kilo Zwiebeln
3 kg Sauerkraut (fixfertig)
7.5 kg Rinds-Hackfleisch
1 kg Paniermehl (für unters Hackfleisch)
15 Eier
30 Tomaten
10 Eisberg/Krachsalatköpfe
6 Gurken
1 Flasche Schokoladensauce
1 Flasche Salatsauce (egal, welche Sorte)
